CSEq Featured in Nike's Global X2 Collection
Coalitions for Sport Equity (CSEq) is the U.S. partner organization for Nike's X2 collection, a global program tied to this summer's biggest stage in international soccer. Nike paired seven federations with seven designers and seven community youth sport organizations to create co-branded pre-match collections. For the U.S., that pairing is Nike, designer V.A.A., and CSEq: the Stars & Stripes collection, worn by the U.S. Men's National Team during pre-match warmups at its 2026 friendlies.
Other X2 partnerships include Football Beyond Borders (England), Favela Street (Netherlands), Bravehearts Ladies Foundation (Nigeria), and We Meet Up (South Korea), among others. Collections became available at retail beginning June 11. Read about the collection in greater detail here.
Nike built X2 around a specific idea: that the future of the sport isn't shaped only by federations and players, but by the community organizations working closest to youth participation. CSEq's role in that lineup reflects the barriers young people actually face in accessing sport — cost, transportation, facility access, coaching quality — and the position that those barriers aren't a reflection of interest or ability, but of a system not built with every young person in mind.
CSEq is a national network of 27 local sport equity coalitions, representing 700+ organizations and reaching 1.5 million young people. No single organization in that network can address those barriers alone; the coalition model exists because removing them takes coordinated work across cities, funders, and sectors. Nike's recognition of CSEq is, in that sense, a recognition of the network rather than any one organization within it.
Alongside the jersey partnership, Nike supported coordination work across CSEq's network this year, helping align messaging across its 23 member cities ahead of this visibility moment. That work was informed by member input gathered through the spring, including at CSEq's April in-person gathering (recapped here).
