CSEQ FEATURED IN NIKE'S GLOBAL X2 COLLECTION
This spring, Coalitions for Sport Equity (CSEq) was announced as the U.S. partner organization for Nike's X2 collection, a global program tied to this summer's biggest stage in international soccer. Nike paired seven federations with seven designers and seven community youth sport organizations to create co-branded pre-match collections. For the U.S., that's Nike, designer V.A.A., and CSEq — The Stars & Stripes by V.A.A., honoring Coalitions for Sport Equity — worn by the U.S. Men's National Team during pre-match warmups at its 2026 friendlies.

Nike built X2 around the idea that the future of the sport is shaped not just by federations and players, but by the community organizations working closest to youth participation.
CSEq's place in that lineup is a recognition of the network — the dozens of cities, hundreds of local member organizations, and 1.5 million young people this work reaches — since no single organization could address barriers like cost, transportation, facility access, and coaching quality alone.

Nike also supported coordination work across CSEq's member cities this spring to help align messaging ahead of the moment. Read more about that below!
A SHARED NARRATIVE FOR THE NETWORK — THE CSEQ NARRATIVE TOOLKIT
Thanks to support from Nike, Adrianne Wright of ROSIE worked with CSEq to help amplify the jersey visibility moment and facilitated a participatory process with members that resulted in the CSEq Shared Narrative Toolkit. This process included our yearly in-person session in LA, a full workshop and round of feedback in May, and a finished toolkit in June.

The toolkit is built around four ideas:
Belonging is the outcome
The system wasn't designed for every young person
Sport is essential community infrastructure
Collective action creates change
This work gives coalitions shared language they can adapt to their own community, while keeping the message aligned across all CSEq cities.
