This spring, Coalitions for Sport Equity (CSEq) was named the U.S. partner organization for Nike's X2 collection, a global program pairing national federations with designers and community youth sport organizations. The resulting jersey, The Stars & Stripes by V.A.A., honoring Coalitions for Sport Equity, was worn by the U.S. Men's National Team in pre-match warmups at its 2026 friendlies.

The recognition belongs to the network: dozens of cities, hundreds of local member organizations, and the 1.5 million young people their work reaches. Alongside the jersey moment, CSEq members worked together to build a Shared Narrative Toolkit, giving coalitions common language to talk about why this work matters.

CSEq held its annual in-person member gathering in April in Los Angeles, co-hosted with Play Equity Fund.

The gathering focused on shared narrative development, timed to CSEq's upcoming visibility through the 2026 World Cup partnership with Nike.

Spanning 14 coalitions and 4 universities, the findings show that trust, communication, and shared purpose matter more than structure — and 79% of members say their coalition improved the quality of sport and play in their community.
